Aporia artist and composer Kinnie Starr has been recognized by this year's Leo Awards, with a nomination for Best Musical Score for her contribution to Edge of the Knife (SGaawaay K'uuna), which is the first feature-length film in the Haida language.
Edge of the Knife received a total of 10 nominations from the Leo Awards, and was named one of Canada's Top Ten at the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival and Best Canadian Film at the 2018 Vancouver International Film Festival.
The Leo Awards are presented on May 25, 26 and June 1, and are an annual celebration of excellence in British Columbia Film & Television:
