Funkservice International's music has been labeled "jazzy," "sophisticated," "electro," "'60s retro," and "groovy," among other things, and has been compared to such artists as Massive Attack, Gotan Project, and Koop.

The group's characteristic yet uncategorizable sound stems directly from the curiosity of its creators, Skellefteå-based producer team Adil Fadi and Jonas Persson. In 2001 the Moroccan/Swedish duo combined their previous experiences to create an exciting hybrid of different musical styles, and the result of their eclectic, open-minded approach--including the utilization of many different musicians on stage--was the distinctive flavor of Funkservice International.

What the press is saying...

"...a relaxing cocktail of influences that is not afraid to sit on the shelf next to Tosca or Fila Brazilia."
X Press Magazine (Sweden)
"Buckle up for your flight into paradise. No need for a sickie bag. The debut disc from Swedish-based writers and producers Adil Fadi and Jonas Persson is full of soothing beats and soulful voices that would help even the queasiest passenger enjoy flight. After several solo efforts, the boys combined their talents in 2001 to blend jazz, lounge and soul into a disc worthy of the spot next to your favorite chillout discs (think Tosca or Thievery Corporation)...."
