The Stars At Saint Andrea is the beautiful new album from Devics; dark, atmospheric and moody, this Los Angeles-based quartet imaginatively weave together a range of instruments and genres in their cinematic music. Compared to such artists as P.J. Harvey, Portishead, Low and Delgados, lead singer Sara Lov’s golden voice, along with co-founder Dustin O’Hallorans’s echo-laden soundscapes, have seduced West Coast audiences for the past few years with their sultry, love-forlorn yearnings.

The Stars At Saint Andrea is the fourth LP for the band, but the first album to be released on current UK label Bella Union (founded by Simon Raymonde of the Cocteau Twins), and thus the first to be released outside of the US. So far they have received rapturous reviews from both sides of the pond, called by NME as “the finest purveyors of multi-layered gorgeousness since Yo La Tengo.”
